Life at McKinley Beach
Life at McKinley Beach is anything but quiet. Kilometres of walking and hiking trails start right outside the door. When Arrowleaf Pond freezes over, kids play pond hockey on it. Our Place, the community amenity centre, has an indoor pool, an outdoor hot tub, a fitness centre and a sauna. Azhadi Winery, the neighbourhood vineyard and winery, is open year-round and a short walk from the home. The private beach and marina are just down the hill.
The home is strategically located between two renowned ski resorts, Big White and Silver Star, each about an hour's drive away, for world-class downhill skiing and snowboarding. Cross-country skiers can choose from Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre near Silver Star, one of Canada's top Nordic areas, along with Kelowna Nordic and the trails at Big White. The local trails are also good for winter walks and snowshoeing, and Stuart Park in downtown Kelowna has a groomed outdoor rink.
